Alternative - the Script Editor Web Part
A more recent and easier way to embed content is to place a Script Editor web part on the page and using the 'Edit Snippet' button.
This is several steps quicker and just as effective as the Content Editor web part method. Also, the embed code can be edited if need be in the snippet area of the web part.
Notes:
1. Embed codes (and other files) may not be edited in the SharePoint environment. If a code needs tweaking, download it and make the edits, then re-upload it under the same name.
2. Embedded content will only be as useable and accessible as the originating site or page. Embedded content could get flagged in accessibility audits. Embedded content will not necessarily be displayed or behave like other content on the page as it's behavior and look and feel are determined by the parent site.
