Build a Sub-Site

This article and the associated video discuss the creation of sub sites for Oregon.gov sites.

Please Note

Sub sites should only be created by, or with the express permission of the agency (site) Single Point of Contact.  Much planning and work go into the organization and navigation structure of Oregon.gov web sites and the creation of a sub site will impact both organization and site navigation.

Important Notes

• Subsites should be created when significant content around a subject warrants one or when a body of content within a site needs it's own navigation scheme in the left nav.
• When constructing a sub site, always discuss permissions and navigation with the agency (site) Single Point of Contact.
