How To - Sign Up for Google Analytics
In order to use Google Analytics, you must first have a Google account.This is not G-mail and should not be linked to any of your existing G-mail accounts.
Sign Up
To sign up for a Google account, go to this URL:
https://accounts.google.com/SignUpExpress
Please use YOUR state email address (first.m.last@oregon.gov or first.last@odot.oregon.gov) and do not use a G-mail email address or link the account to one. Also, please do not use a shared or general email address. Your personally issued state email address that you use at work is what should be used here.
Examples of ACCEPTABLE email addresses:john.e.doe@oregon.gov or jane.smith@das.oregon.gov.
Examples of UN-acceptable email addresses:johnd@gmail.com, analyticsteam@oregon.gov, john.e.doe@odot.state.or.us
Requests using unacceptable email address domains or formats will be denied.
After creating your account, Have your SPOC submit a ticket to request your access. If all is in order, we will grant your account access to the profile for Oregon.gov. The next time you log in to your Google account, the Oregon.gov analytics will be available to you.
Once your access has been granted, you will receive an email from the Oregon E-government service desk explaining that your account has been granted access and containing a bit of information to get you started in Google Analytics.
Unlink G-mail address from your state Google Accounts
While signed in to your Google account navigate to https://myaccount.google.com/email
Remove your state issued email address from any of the fields presented. If it exists in your Gmail account, the gmail address will become the primary and will not be allowed to access state resources.
Alternatively, if a gmail address is listed in any of the fields for your state Google account, the gmail address will become the primary and also not be allowed to access state resources.
