GA4 - Explorations introduction
Google Analytics 4 or GA4 offers tools called explorations. Explorations offer us a way to narrow results to specific reporting metrics that we can use. The Oregon E-Government web team has provided 8 initial explorations that are good starting points. If you'd like them shared with you, just drop a note to egovhelp@oregon.gov and we'll be happy to provide them. There are articles and videos that describe what each exploration looks at and what potential good the information can be. Agency web teams are encouraged to work with explorations to come up with whatever reporting metrics they deem are needed for their purposes. Google offers lots of information that support explorations in their support articles and forums.
Here we will take a brief look at the features offered in all explorations and how some of them work together.
